Builder Standards - Before You Rebuild

Moving Back into Your Home

Residents and businesses not receiving power or gas at this time should call 1-800-ENTERGY to have their service reconnected if their property can safely take service.

Properties with damage

Customers with property that flooded, or with other damage to their electrical or gas facilities, must have their homes inspected by a licensed electrician or licensed plumber and go through the proper City permitting processes before Entergy New Orleans, Inc. can safely restore service. Please consult the City of New Orleans Department of Safety and Permits office or www.cityofno.com for more information.

Lower Ninth Ward

Before you finish rebuilding your home, call 1-800-ENTERGY to schedule gas and electric service. An appointment will be made to meet with you at the site to discuss your service needs and establish a service connection date. Failure to call Entergy New Orleans with advance notice of your move-in date could result in delayed start of service of up to several weeks.

Lake Catherine

Gas is not available due to extensive damage to the system. Entergy New Orleans is actively pursuing options for customers in this area. The projected date of availability is to be determined.
